Are you registered to vote? If not, you can click on the Voter Registration bar button to the left to view information on how to go about registering to vote in Wixom and the deadline dates for registering for upcoming elections. This section also contains precinct information.

Picture identification: Every Michigan voter who would like to vote in the polls must comply with the voter identification requirement (MCL 158.523) by showing valid picture identification or by signing an Affidavit attesting that he or she is not in possession of picture identification.

By law, Absent Voter Ballot Applications (click link) are no longer automatically mailed to registered voters sixty (60) years of age and older unless they have specifically requested to have their name placed on the permanent list to receive an application.

Election Day - Tuesday, November 7, 2017  

At the November 7th General Election this year, voters in Wixom will cast their ballot for Mayor, City Council and Library Board Trustees. 

The following candidate name(s) will appear on the November ballot:

 Mayor (two-year term):   Richard E. Ziegler
 City Council (four-year term):  Patrick Beagle
   Sandro Grossi
   Nick Kennedy
   Rhein Krigner
   Thomas J. Rzeznik 
 Library Board (six-year term):  Christie Currier 
   Allison Wert
 

 

Polls will be open on Election Day from 7:00am until 8:00pm. As with all other elections held in Wixom, Precincts 1 and 3 vote at the Wixom Community Center (49015 Pontiac Trail), while Precincts 2 and 4 vote at Wixom City Hall (49045 Pontiac Trail). 

If you live in the City of Wixom and are not currently registered to vote, please give the Clerk’s Office a call (248-624-4557) for more information on registering or stop by during regular business hours before October 10th to be registered in time to participate in the November General Election.

Qualified and registered electors who are not permanent absentee voters who wish to vote an absentee ballot may contact the City Clerk’s Office to request an absentee ballot application. The deadline to request an absentee ballot is November 4 at 2:00pm.

The ballot and tabulator will have a new look for the November 7th General Election. The ballots will be a new size (8½” x 11”) and the tabulator will have a new, sleek look. We will also be debuting a new electronic voting device so voters may cast their votes by direct interaction. This new equipment will be on display at the Fire Open House on Saturday, October 14th.
