Transmission Supplier TREMEC Corporation is moving its Michigan operations from Plymouth to Wixom, and plans to expand operations during the next 18 months, according to a press release by the company.

TREMEC is planning to be at the new 125,000-square-foot building in Wixom by mid August.

The move will enable the company to expand Michigan operations from sales and technical support to include engineering, business development, testing and transmission assembly operations.

TREMEC is investing more than $50 million and creating approximately 130 jobs during the next three years with 25 new positions by the end of 2017, according to the press release. The project was awarded a performance-based grant by the Michigan Business Development Program. The City of Wixom has pledged support with a property tax abatement program. Although the facility address is in Novi, the property falls within Wixom city limits so taxes are to be paid to Wixom.

The facility is at 46643 Ryan Court, Novi. TREMEC is based in Mexico. For more information, visit www.tremec.com.
